Student Research Assistant 20 - 50 %

As part of the research project 'Adolescent Well-being in Flux: A Comparative Analysis of Adolescent Health Behaviors and Mental Distress Across Countries and Time', funded by the Population Research Center and conducted at the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development and the Psychiatric University Clinic Zurich, UZH, we are looking for a student assistant to help create a website to present the research results.

The project focuses on the relationship between unhealthy behaviour and psychological distress in adolescents, particularly in relation to time trends and gender differences in over 40 countries in Europe and North America. Data from the HBSC study will be used for this purpose.

Your responsibilities

  • Development of a data visualisation concept for an interactive website
  • Creating the interactive website with the Shiny app
  • Checking/writing R-Code
  • Possible collaboration in the creation of the manuscript

Your profile

  • Very precise, reliable and independent working style
  • Very good knowledge of R (especially Shiny)
  • Good knowledge of English
  • High affinity for data visualisation
  • High degree of independence
  • Ideally experience with social science research/data
