Our second annual symposium to promote exchange between practitioners and academics was a great success. The title of the 2019 symposium was “Problem behavior at school, early development and educational success.”
Talks were given by the following real-world practitioners and policymakers: Dr. Silvia Steiner (president of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education and member of the governing council of the Canton of Zurich), Beat Zemp (honorary president of Dachverband Lehrerinnen und Lehrer Schweiz) and Enrico Violi (specialist for violence at school, Department of Education, Canton of Zurich).
The Jacobs Center was represented by Prof. Dr. Michael Shanahan, Prof. Dr. Manuel Eisner, Prof. Dr. Ulf Zölitz, Dr. Margit Averdijk and Dr. Denis Ribeaud. The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Lilly Shanahan (Jacobs Center).
