The journal "Biological Psychiatry Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging" published an article by Prof. Nora Raschle and colleagues entitled "Atypical dorsolateral prefrontal activity in females with conduct disorder during effortful emotion regulation". Full article
Fun fact: Nora's work was not just inside the journal, but also on the cover. In their work, the international team of authors found that female adolescents with conduct disorder have reduced brain activation in the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex compared to typically developing control subjects during effortful emotion regulation. Furthermore, the article provided additional evidence for disrupted functional connectivity originating from the same prefrontal area. Nora's cover illustration takes inspiration from M.C. Escher by illustrating the surface of the brain as an impossible staircase mirroring the challenges of finding the correct connection.
