Depending on the research question a variety of data sets are used in the Education Economics research area. In order to provide answers to key policy questions regarding the organization of education the research area uses Swiss and Danish register data containing information on educational outcomes for entire countries. To study questions related to the organization of higher education administrative data from multiple European universities has been collected and analyzed.
Further data sets used are the INVALSI data set containing standardized score test data on all Italian students in primary and secondary education, the Census of Italian Graduates (AlmaLaurea) and the NLSY79, Children Development Supplement (CDS) of the PSID, American Time Use Survey.
