Is your child participating in the Zurich Learning Progress Study (LEAPS)? We warmly welcome you to the LEAPS Parent Survey! In this survey, we aim to understand how the things happening around children influence their growth and learning. We recognize that the family and the social environment in which children grow up play a significant role in their overall development.
In this Parent Survey, we are interested in how your child experiences kindergarten, how you feel as a mother or father, how you assess your child's behavior, and how your child's daily life is influenced by cultural values and parenting styles. For example, we are trying to understand how families can promote their children's development and support their learning.
You have consented to your child's participation in LEAPS and have received an invitation to the LEAPS Parent Survey. In this invitation E-mail, you will find an individual link that will lead you to an approximately 30-minute online questionnaire. You can participate in the survey using a PC, tablet, or smartphone, pause and resume at any time. The survey is available in various languages. All data will be treated as absolutely confidential and anonymized, meaning your information cannot be linked to your name or your child's name.

All parents of children participating in LEAPS are warmly invited to take the Parent Survey. You must be the legal guardian of the child. You do not need to be the biological mother or father of the child to complete the survey.
Once you have given your consent for your child to participate in LEAPS, you will receive an invitation E-Mail to participate in the Parent Survey. The survey starts in the spring 2024.
Online using a survey link. You can complete the questionnaire on a PC, tablet, or smartphone at your convenience.
It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete LEAPS Parent Survey.
You will receive a monetary compensation for completing the questionnaire.
We assure you that all information we receive from you and your child will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purposes of the study. No data will be shared with teachers and schools. Your participation is entirely voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. The UZH Data Security Department has carefully reviewed and approved the Data Management Plan to ensure data security.
