Information for Students

For PhD students

Our PhD students typically enroll in the doctoral program in the UZH Department of Psychology. They also have the option to enroll in the International Max Planck Research School on the Life Course (LIFE). This joint international PhD Program consists of a community of faculty members and PhD students (fellows) at four sites: the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, the University of Zurich, and Berlin (Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin; Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).

Our group also actively participates in the z-proso International Research Network (zIReN). This worldwide network of researchers bring together academics who actively work on z-proso data and who publish research findings based on z-proso. Members are internationally leading experts and early career researchers in z-proso-related topics (e.g., developmental psychopathology, criminology). This network holds annual meetings at different European universities.

Since several years, our PhD students and post-docs have also held leadership roles in the R peer mentoring group in the Department of Psychology. Our group is also actively involved in several additional networks, including the UZH Population Research Center and the Developmental Science Network Zurich.

For Master’s students

We regularly mentor Master’s theses. You can find out more about topics here. Our master’s students typically analyze data from the z-proso project. Thus, many of the topics that we offer include the secondary analysis of existing longitudinal data.
